Continental Opportunities Fund is invested across industries, geographies and at various levels of the capital structure (e.g., equities, bonds, preferred stock, options, ETFs) in companies and instruments that the team believes will provide attractive risk adjusted returns. The firm relies on fundamental valuation measures driven by projected cash flows in evaluating an issuer's investment merit. Continental attempts to develop and exploit a competitive advantage in security selection by focusing on specific industries and/or specific subsectors within industries. The fund holds concentrated portfolios that will typically consist of 25 to 50 different companies. Continental maintains modest net market exposures and employs conservative levels of leverage (maximum 1.5X capital). Despite the flexibility of an open investment charter, Continental Advisors anticipates that a substantial majority of the Opportunities fund's capital will typically be invested in and around the financial services and healthcare industries.
