The investment objective of the fund is to achieve capital appreciation through investment in Emerging Asian countries. The investment approach combines top down and bottom up analysis. In both cases, the aim is to identify pricing inefficiencies, which result from inaccurate consensus forecasts of growth rates and cost of capital. Detailed and rigorous analysis at the company level is undertaken and asset allocation is effectively driven by a combination of the two. Finally, technical analysis is used to assist in the timing of investment decisions.
The Fund may invest in equity, equity related securities and instruments including convertible bonds, depository receipts and warrants as well as other securities such as bonds and preference shares issued by corporate and governmental issuers.
