The Partnership is invested in high earnings momentum, emerging growth companies. Core portfolio holdings consist of 20-30 high quality, profitable, market dominant, emerging growth companies with sustainable earnings growth of greater than 20%. Short sales consist of companies that the fund manager believes are fundamentally overvalued and likely to report earnings results which are below Wall Street expectations. Earnings acceleration or deceleration, relative to expectations, is the primary investment criteria for Long/Short Fund, L.P. long and short portfolio positions. Another important investment screen is the current market value of the company, which in the case of long (or short) investments must be less (or more) than the fund manager's appraisal of the business' intrinsic value. Holdings are established with a 12 to 18 month investment time horizon. In addition to the core investments, the Falcon Point Long/Short Fund may use leverage for short-term trading purposes in an effort to enhance portfolio returns.
